What is impulse?

Impulse is defined as the product of the average force and the time interval for which the force acts on the body.

Impulse = Force x Time -OR-Impulse = Force x small interval for which force acts on a body.

Impulse is a vector quantity where direction of impulse is same as that of force.

Impulse of a force is equal to change in momentum of the body.

SI unit of impulse is newton-second (N-s)
