What is one reason that Greek culture spread outside the Greek peninsula? please help I am stuck

I think the most common way for Greek culture to spread outside the Balkan peninsula would be through colonies. Since arable land was very limited along the Aegean Sea, Greek city states often sent out Greek colonies that settled along the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. These colonies took the traditions of the Greek civilization along with them, which spread the Greek culture to other lands.
