what is the 95% confidence interval?

what is the 95% confidence interval? I chose a magazine and 38 out of the 94 (not including table of contents or front and back cover) had advertisements. I cannot figure out a random sample and then figure out the 95% confidence interval. And can you explain what it means to have a confidence interval between 1.02 and 2.12?
