What is the atomic number, atomic mass, and number of neutrons of oxygen?
Considering an oxygen atom;
= 8 = 16 Number of neutrons= 8
Atomic number represents number of electrons and number of protons of an atoms(both are equal in amount)....Mass number is the sum of(combined) protons and neutrons. So number of neutrons of an atom = mass number- atomic number.
