QUESTION

What is the definition & example of enjambment?

Incomplete syntax at the end of line.

Enjambment is a poetic way in which the meaning runs from one line to the another without any full-stop (terminal punctuation) .

Poets such as T.S.Eliot, William Shakespeare, John Keats have used this scheme in their works.

Example: Waste Land by T.S.Eliot having termination at line 4 and 7.

April is the cruellest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain. Winter kept us warm, covering Earth in forgetful snow, feeding A little life with dried tubers.
