4-year old Elizabeth falls off her bike in the driveway at her home. She scarpes her face and elbow. About a week later, she develops small lesions on her face. These lesions are around the chin, mouth, and nose region. These vesicles are crusted, and she has a low grade fever at the time she is brought to her primary care doctor/ While at the doctor, she experiences a nose bleed. The doctor finds that she has the lesions up and into her nose.
