What is the difference between an equiangular polygon, an equilateral polygon, and a regular polygon? Provide an example of each.
See explanation.
An equiangular polygon is a polygon in which all angles are equal. An equilateral polygon is a polygon with equal sides. If both sides and angles are equal then the polygon is called regular.
If we look at , then we can say, that:
- A rectangle (not being a square) is equiangular (4 right angles)
- A rhombus (not being a square) is equilateral (4 equal sides, unequal angles)
- A square is both equilateral and equiangular (i.e. it is a regular polygon)
