What is the difference between animal cell vacuole and plant cell vacuole???
Plant cell vacuole is very large and generally single in number. Animal cell vacuoles are more in number but very small.
Vacuoles are membrane bound organelles. In plant cell, vacuole contains cell sap and is an important organelle that maintains turgor pressure, so that plasma membrane of plant cell is pushed against cell wall. Water and chemicals are stored in plant vacuole.
Animal cell vacuoles are either generated by endocytosis or by golgi bodies (for exocytosis).
