What is the difference between divisor, dividend, nominator, and denominator?
See answer.
The dividend is what's getting divided, and the divisor is what's doing the dividing. For example, in ##8div2##, ##8## is the dividend, and ##2## is the divisor.
The numerator is what's on top of the fraction, and the denominator is what's on bottom. These are the terms more commonly used in math, so I would worry less about dividend/divisor and more about these. In ##8/2##, ##8## is the numerator and ##2## is the denominator.
