What kind of energy is the energy of motion?

Particles and bodies in motion posses kinetic . It is the energy of motion. For example, gas molecules in random motion possesses kinetic energy, a moving train has it's fuel converted into kinetic energy or a body falling under gravity has it's gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy. Anything in motion has got kinetic energy in it.
