We were rowing and measure the heart rate of each person in the class. But I don't know how I can find the relationship between the heart rate and fitness..
Introduction:
The maximum of the heart rate for normal teenagers is 220 per minutes (BPM) to maintain their lives. Even if we are not athlete, knowledge about the heart rate can help us monitor spot developing health problems. Heart rate belongs to one type of homeostasis, which means "Staying the same" in Greek. If the heart rate does not stay constantly although you are not performing physical activities, this change is considered as the negative feedback of a body. Conventionally, there are three energy systems to produce ATP: ATP-PC (High power, Short duration), glycolytic (moderate power/short duration), and oxidative (low power/long duration). ATP must be presented to contract
muscle tissue. It can be produced via these three processes three energy systems.
There is a study performed by Yoshiga and Higuchi to evaluate whether the heart rate response to
exercise depends on body position and on the active muscle mass. They compared the heart rate
response to ergometer rowing and treadmill running exercise from 55 healthy men [mean (SD) height 176 (5) cm, body mass 71 (6) kg, age 21 (3) years]. During rowing HR was lower than during running at a blood lactate concentration of 2 mmol. Also, during maximal intensity rowing, HR was lower than during maximal intensity running.
Hypothesis:
I hypothesize that the outputs of the heart rate and power will be proportional while experimenters are rowing. The heart plays an important role in taking oxygen which is called the pulmonary circulation. The right side of the heart receives the blood to pump through carrying the blood to the lungs and returns it to the left lungs, and oxygen diffuses from the lungs into the blood.
Some trainers set the target heart rate to know how hard to exercise to get aerobic advantages from their exercise.
