QUESTION

What's the definition of acoelomate?

Acoelomate animals do not possess an internal body cavity. These animals are usually small and/or very flat, so the cells are close to each other and to the outside of the body.

This allows acoelomate animals to exchange gases and nutrients by diffusion quite easily.
