What's the difference between a verb, adverb, and adjective?

Verbs,adverbs and adjectives are some of the basic parts of speech in the english language.

Verbs-Also called 'action words',they are words used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence. Example: hear,see,become,walk,etc.

Adverbs-Also called 'helping words',they are words or phrases that modifies the meaning of an adjective, verb, or other adverb, expressing manner, place, time, or degree. Example: gently,rapidly,very,etc.

Adjectives-They are also known as 'describing words'.They are words naming an attribute of a noun. Example: red,fast,three,technical,etc.
