The Convention of 1800 was to write a treaty between the United States of America and France that would settle the hostilities that had erupted during the Quasi-War.

There were 27 articles in the treaty. 1) The relationship between the countries will be friendly. 2) Matters not completely addressed will be in the future 3) The Public Ships, which have been taken on one part, and the other, or which may be taken before the exchange of ratifications shall be restored. 4) Anything taken before this bonding experience will be given back....
