When usung a separatory funnel to assist in the separation of layers during your extraction. How can this be used to separate layers?

a. Use a pipet to remove the upper layer. 

b. Slowly open the stopcock to drain out the lower layer. 

c. Use a pipet to remove the lower layer.

 d. Invert the separatory funnel to drain out the upper layer.
