Remember: Information included in the handout should not be a simple re-telling of events that occurred in the reading. Do not just summarize the text or create character sketches. Rather, analyze the significance and thematic importance of the plot and characters. Tell us something about the plot and characters that a "casual reader" may fail to understand or miss entirely. Remember, your job is to analyze and interpret the text on a meaningful (and interesting) level.
