Good results indicate maturity and growth in education. There are various reliability tests. Test-retest reliability involves giving students same assessment twice over a period of time. Results from the two periods can then be analysed to ascertain the students’ consistency. Parallel-Forms reliability is used to measure consistency using two tests obtained from the same topical range. For example, two tests can be formed from the World Wars. (Shuttleworth, n.d.)

Inter-Rater reliability on the other hand, measures the consistency of observers when asked to write down their opinions regarding a subject or phenomena. It is more useful in artwork than in mathematics. Internal Consistency reliability measures the degree in which different items within a test yield the same results. There are two types of this assessment tool. The first type is the Average inter-item correlation. It involves getting correlation coefficient among different pairs of items within a test and then coming up with an average. The second type is the Split-half reliability.
