There have been constant complaints from different parts of the world about the misdiagnosis of the two disorders through DSM-IV. DSM- IV is the test carried out to determine the nature and type of a disorder noticed in a person. Parents and teachers are in many cases the first people to note such disorders among the kids. But the problems integrated when the kid is misdiagnosed and subjected to a wrong medication. Although the parents are committed to have the kids complete their medication carefully, the medication never helps the patients. This study explores the number of patients who have gone through DSM-IV, both diagnosed correctly and those who were misdiagnosed. It accounts on parents for a discussion interview and gather information about reasons leading to DSM-IV misdiagnosis for ASD and ADHD. The study involves the parents whose children have undergone through the diagnosis, the experts who clarifies the debate and research coordinators to see that the debate is gone through wisely. Although the symptoms between the two disorders are more likely to merge in appearance, a scientific test must be put in place to diagnose and give correct results.
