The Herald article happened to catch a similar story “Death of 12-year- old girl forces Cuba to confront sex tourism” of two Cuban under aged girls who indulged in sex with foreign tourist the 12 year old one ending up dead in the process. This shows the neglect of both involved authorities incompetency in dealing with this particular societal vice that is demeaning and inhuman.

Child prostitution racketeering refers to the frequent travels by this alleged sex offender James McTurk to Cuba which had been noticed by the Canadian Sex offender registry (IBCR, 2011). The offender made several trips to Cuba supposedly for sex tourism with under age Cuban female minors some as young as 4 years old. It is believed that he was involved with a child prostitution racket that fulfills the desire of foreign sex addicts based in Cuba hence his frequent visits. Statutory rape is criminal misconduct that involves introduction of a minor to sexual exploitation majorly by coercion and “sweet” persuasion (Canada.gc.ca, 2014). This can be attached to the sexual allegation because young Children are easily persuaded hence James McTurk could have been using these “sweet” methods to sexually exploit these children. The best words to describe this criminal intent are child abuse! It is not right to involve children in sexual conducts. It is child abuse that is evil and demeaning in nature to the child’s growth and development. McTurk simply ignored the universal rights of children against sexual exploitation and instead chose to abuse them sexually in their innocent form.
