Between you and two other people, discuss how much was spent on health care last year (can be other adults in household and/or children health expenses). Try to estimate how much was spent out of own pocket and how much was spent by employers, insurance companies, or the government. Did the people with more serious health problems always end up spending more of their own money on health care? Did they personally end up paying a larger or smaller percentage of their total health bills out of pocket?
