QUESTION

write response for two discussion(each 100 worlds)

1, Hi class, my discussion topic for this week is DNA – deoxyribonucleic acid. I want to talk about DNA because it is our blueprint of life. It contains genetic information about the development of our body and how it functions. DNA are grouped into chromosomes and are stored in the cell nucleus. They are found in every cell and when we reproduce, we will also pass them on to our offspring.  DNA is made up of a five-carbon sugar called deoxyribosome, a phosphate and four different nitrogenous bases (adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine). The order of nitrogen bases in a DNA sequence forms genes.

2,

My discussion topic is pH value. We use pH scale to rank solutions depends on their acidity and basicity. It is range from 0 to 14. Anything below 7 is considered acidic. Some good examples are stomach acid and coke. 7 is considered neutral and water would be a good example. Anything above 7 is considered basic. Some examples are baking soda and household bleach.  An acidic solution has a high concentration of hydrogen ions. A basic solution has a low concentration of hydrogen ions. Our blood and body fluid are slightly basic. If our blood pH drops below 6.9, we might have a chance of dying. Luckily, we have buffers in our body to help maintain pH value in our body within a small range.
