You are required to write a paper on a psychologist who has contributed to the field of psychology. In this course, we will cover the works and contributions of many prominent psychologists, most of whom are white and male (as is typical of the biases and prejudices of their times). We will however, also study the contributions of psychologists who come from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds. They were able to make significant contributions to the growth of psychology; their different perspectives and experiences allowed them to contribute unique insights and ideas to psychology. It is with the continuation of these diverse perspectives that psychology has and will continue to advance and benefit all members of the human species. 

Psychologist Selection/Annotated BibliographyIn order to adequately complete the Final Draft of the Term Paper assignment, you must select an appropriate psychologist and have enough scholarly sources to adequately understand and write about the psychologist. This assignment is designed to make sure that you have both of these. There are two aspects to include in this assignment:

1. You will turn in a brief paragraph, that includes:
   • The name of the psychologist that you have selected
   • A brief explanation of why this psychologist meets the requirements (i.e., why they would be considered from an under-represented group)
2. You will also turn in an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography is essentially a reference page with a short paragraph for each reference entry briefly describing that work. This should include:
   • A minimum of 3 scholarly resources (no internet articles)
   • An APA-style reference page that gives the correct reference for each source
   • After each reference entry, a brief paragraph that describes the source and the information it contains that will be helpful or necessary to complete the Final Draft of the Term Paper

This paper must be typed (double-spaced, 12 point font) and should be about 2-3 pages in length.
