You have been auditing the same client for a number of years and the client has asked you try and save them some money this year on your audit fees. The client assures you that none of their procedures or personnel have changed in the last year. Based on this information you decide it is fine to leave out several audit procedures since in past years they were fine. Do you think you have violated any provisions of the professional code of conduct, why or why not?
