Proverbs 17:24 states "Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth," and this relates to truth and wisdom because if you know the truth about something it gives you a better understanding and makes you look at things in a different light. The other part of the scripture speaks of the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth and this means that you can't change a person's mindset and it can take till the end of time. This scripture relates to research because your understanding of what you explore comes from experimenting and research but if you don't explore then the accurate truth and wisdom is not evident.

Proverbs 18:13 states "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him," and this relates to wisdom and truth in the way that a person that don't find out the truth and jumps to their own conclusion is not following what the Holy Bible states. The way this scripture relates to research in the way that if we experiment and find out the truth, we will make uneducated guess and might ultimately get sanctioned.

For our discussion board, I will be comparing to scripture verses of wisdom and relating them back to research.

Looking back it seems as though there has been distance amongst scripture and research / science. People are entitled to their beliefs and do not want too much knowledge intervene in what they already believe in. But by analyzing and carefully reading the scriptures it will help with understanding and being closer to God.

The two scripture verses that I chose to write about that I believe are related to research are Proverbs 17:24 which states “Wisdom is in the presence of the one who has understanding, But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.” Proverbs 19:2 says “Also it is not good for a person to be without knowledge, and he who hurries his footsteps errs.” The first thing that stands out to me about both verses that they both mention wisdom and knowledge. (Proverbs 19:2, We as humans and Christians acknowledge that wisdom is the ultimate key that we need in order to live. God does want us his people to have understanding so pertaining to research, we must go back to and gather all necessary evidence to form a proper opinion. Without understanding, it allows room for assumptions.
