 It focuses on what many consider a very important element of History- the relationship between politics and society.

 You may reference your textbook

 ONLY a Power Point (PP) presentation will be accepted.

 A minimum of 10 PP slides and no more than 20.

 Include Pictures, Charts, Graphs, Videos (the variety will enhance points received)

You may also conduct research on the Worldwide Web; however, your presentation SHOULD NOT be a copy of info published on the web. Hence please ensure, that your PP reflects creativity and innovation and, the presentation has the below components. Additional relevant components will yield even higher scores.

INSTRUCTIONS

You must Choose any key term from your textbook to research and prepare your PowerPoint presentation. You should include issues like

 Why you selected the ITEMthat you chose

 What is the item

 What is the history of the item

 What was the significance of the item?

 What affect has it had on the history of the Republic.

 What are your thoughts about your selected item and what does it means to you, personally

 What is the positive or negative effects of the item for the people of the USA and/or WorldGRADING

You will be graded on how well you explain/describe the item and its relationship to social and political development. Points will be added and deducted based on:

 including or omitting the points outlined above

 including or omitting pictures, charts, graphs, video's etc.

 including or omitting the correct number of slides

 including or omitting PP design creativity and writing skills --- grammar and punctuation

Points will be significantly deducted if:

1. ALL RESEARCH SOURCES ARE NOT REFERENCED On ONE 

(1) PP SLIDE

2. Information is copied and pasted from any source, particularly from the internet and not listed as a reference source on your source slide will

3. A minimum of 10 slides and no more than 20 slides, is not met.

There are many facts about your selection, so include as many as you like to present an interesting “Story” of your item How you design (put together) the flow of the content for the presentation is the focus (key), versus trying to include lists of information. Think “creatively”, share information that is not readily known about your item.

REMEMBER TO CITE ALL SOURCES that YOU USE! If any of the above instructions are not included, points can be deducted.
