Leadership doesn’t make any difference because of gender. It is strictly a matter of talent, skills, expertise and experience.  I got a chance to work under both the male and a female superiors and my opinion or an evaluation is strictly based on my personal experiences with them which I would like share as per a part of the question. During the internship period, work but at a certain point of time he was more authoritative and bossy. When it comes to finish certain task or a function as per the deadline. He used to become more aggressive and bossy. Otherwise he was cool and fun loving person.

Same way, the female manager was very calm and relax. If somebody comes up with a problem and talk to her, she used to help the person and tackle the problem or confusion very calmly. She never put a pressure on the people for the work but she used to motivate the people in a positive way to work harder to get the task done. They focus finally on all by one bereft achievement. label consideration from their managers once advanced. Tackle it with very much care and positive approach. The male superior used to be friendly and funny with the staff and chat a lot with the staff whereas the lady superior was very nice with the staff but she used to talk less with the people and most of the time she was busy with the work.

My point of view  In a case where they feel like they are being overpowered by someone else they might feel jealous and try to let the person down and hold against them.
