A Brayton cycle power plant delivers a net power ouput of 150 MW to an electric generator. . Intake air at 30 degree celcius and 1.01 bar is compressed 2 stages with intercooling through a total pressure 15: 1. It is then heated to 1200 degree celcius and expanded in 2 staged with air is reheated between the staged of 1200 dgree celcius . The isentropic efficiency of compressor and turbine are 82 % and 87% respectively.

R= 0.287, Cp = 1.006 (all in kJ/kg. K)..

How to draw P-V diagram, find the work output of turbine and cycle efficiency of plant. and

Calculate the percentage increase in cycle efficiency when ideal generator is incoporated in the gas turbine.
