LITERATURE REVIEW-REQUIREMENT

Literature Review on Presenting Issues (1-2 pages)    

A.    Review research focusing on addressing the presenting issues.

B.    Select one or more of the family therapy approaches studied as having good potential to address the presenting condition or issues with a rationale based on empirical evidence.

C.   Discuss the extent to which this approach is relevant culturally and contextually to the family.

Intervention Plan (2 to 3 pages)

Using the SMART treatment planning approach, analyze one intervention for each treatment outcome objective, which must be stated clearly in behaviorally measurable language.

A.   Specify your SMART outcome objectives determined by the family’s presenting challenges, and for each challenging issue or problem identify the corresponding treatment strategy.

B.   Describe in concise and specific detail how you plan to work with the family.

C.   Specify a minimum of three strategies from the model(s) selected and describe exactly how you plan to implement each intervention.

D.   Describe at least two changes you would be working toward for the family or individuals in the family and how you expect the intervention strategies to address each change.
