As you have learned, WWII was divided into to distinct theaters - the European Theater (Germany and Italy were the enemies) and the Pacific Theater (Japan was the enemy). In your opinion, which of these two areas of conflict was the most brutal? For the Americans in particular - a victory in Pacific was crucial. Please explain why this statement is true.
