Assignment # 2 is a research assignment.We studied MapReduce in lecture # 3. You are supposed to do online research and find out one case study where MapReduce was used to solve a particular problem. I am expecting a 4-5 page write-up. Please provide as many technical details as possible about the solution through MapReduce. I am expecting a maximum of one page for a business problem and 3 pages for a technical solution. I want everyone to do research and provide their own write-up. I am not looking to copy-paste from some websites. If I find out that it is copy-paste from some website then you will get ‘F’ grade in the course. I have zero tolerance for plagiarism, this is a graduate course and you are supposed to write your own research paper. I might ask for a video presentation to justify your research if I am not satisfied with the contents. So please do your research and write this paper on your own.  There are so many examples where MapReduce has solved complex business problems. Please use PowerPoint or Visio to draw technical diagrams to explain the solution. You have seen technical diagrams in our lectures throughout this class. I want students to draw technical architecture diagrams, if you don't have the tool to draw the technical architecture diagrams, then you can draw on paper and take a picture and embed it in your document.
