Select the cell. Move your cursor to the lower right hand corner; the cursor should change to a black plus sign. Select and drag the cursor (black plus sign) horizontally. The months should change from abbreviated to formal month names. 2. Use the Autosum formula to add the totals horizontally (column N) and vertically (Row 13). Select cell N6. Move your cursor to the lower right hand corner, the cursor should change to a black plus sign. Select and drag the cursor vertically. Cells N6 through N13 should change the formulas to an Autosum formula. Repeat for the Monthly Expense row. 3. Add gridlines to the budget area A5 through N13. Highlight the area, select the four squared shaded box known as the borders icon . This will provide you with several options for gridlines and bordering of the text area. Select single line grids and a thick border around the area (A5 through N13). Reminder you must select the text area before you select the bordering. 4. Add shadowing (gray) to the Monthly Expenses row A13 through N13. Select the "bucket icon" next tot the Borders icon. 5. Save the file as an excel worksheet as "your last name"_assign2 6.
