(a) Read chapter 1 in the textbook.  Based on your readings, list at least three factors that you believe are important in determining the course of a person's development.  For instance, what types of factors play a role in determining a person's intelligence, personality, motivation, ambitions, values, skills, etc.?  The factors you choose should be addressed in the textbook.

Also, explain why you think each factor is important. Each explanation for a factor should be at least a paragraph in length. 

(b) Which theoretical framework (pages 22-28) for human development do find most interesting or appealing & why?  Your answer should be at least a paragraph in length and be well organized.
