fields, successful franchising is rare. Discuss what industry characteristics make franchising

attractive or unattractive. You should give specific industry examples. Your discussion

should also include how the concept of synergism applies to franchising. What new

franchise (2 years old or less) concept, if any, do you feel stands a great chance for

success? Why?
