Bio. 100 Research Paper

Now that we are covering organ systems, select a disease of interest or one discussed in your text to research and write about (previous or future chapter).

Requirements:

3 complete typed pages of content, 1 literature cited page (sources cited in text) - all double-spaced pages including the following:

Paper Content

1. Title (5%)

2. Body of paper (80%)

• Name and Classification of Disease (ex. Inherited, Infectious, etc.) -20%
• Pathology of Disease - origin, characteristics, system/organs effected, functions/processes effected - 20%
• Symptoms - 20%
• Treatment - 20%

3. Literature Cited or bibliography (on a 4th separate page): - 15%

2 required literature sources (publication or internet science source, other than your textbook) ***

= 100%

*** Identify all sources used within the text of your paper by (author & date or footnotes) and in the literature cited/bibliography. If not own words, direct quotations must be used. APA or MLA writing/documentation styles are accepted - see internet for examples.

***Not citing sources in the body of the paper and not listing sources in the bibliography is a cheating offense (plagiarism) and the paper will not receive credit.
