Why So Much Homework ?

Rana Agahi #2

How much homework is too much? Everyday student stays up very late to finishing their homework. After a stressful day in school they come home and the only thing they want to do is going to bed. But they can't because they have to do a bunch of homework and go to classes. After school classes and homework usually family time is  decreased which can add more family conflict. Hanging out with friends is decreased, so that means there is less socializing. And also It creates lots of stress and less sleep for students. An average student should gets every about 20 minutes of homework.

First of all family time is usually taken away by homework if we had less homework we could have more time with family. For example mostly the only thing students do is eat dinner with their families but that's mostly because of the homework. If we had more family time we would have stronger bonds with are family and understand them more. And there would be less conflict in families

Secondly homework can also decrease time socializing with friends. That could lead to less friendships and more friendsips lost but if we had less homework we could have friendships that would last us are lifes. Good friends are good to have but sometimes with homework they are hard to play with. Also some studies have shown more socializing people have it easier talking to people with could be help full in the future for jobs.

Lastly staying up late and doing homework takes away a student’s time to sleep. Sleep deprivation can cause stress and many more factors.

Not enough sleep can leave a student tired, and at school they might focus less or fall asleep during class. Then the student gets in trouble for falling asleep.

Homework is taking away a student's childhood, no one wants that, do they?
