Explain the geopolitical context (power structures, empires, social hierarchy) in which the religion emerged

Analyze how the founder(s)’ ideas were shaped by that context

Evaluate how those ideas challenged or reinforced existing traditions and power structures

This is a history essay, not a summary of beliefs

You do not need to answer every matrix question—use them as a guide

Strong essays will include analysis, not just description

How does the original empire compare to modern power structures?
