These workers play an important role in a child's development when the parents are busy with their works are away from home for any reason. The child care workers not only attend to the basic needs of the children but also organize activities and implement curricula that stimulate a child's physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. They help children explore individual interests, develop talents and independence, build self-esteem, and learn how to get along with others.
But the million dollar question is "Can the childcare workers take care of the children better than or equivalent to that of the parents of the child". Parents love their children and they will be responsive to their needs. But the childcare workers might be mere professionals and they might not treat the child with the required love and affection which he might be longing for. Those feelings are inbuilt and unless a child care worker is able to bring in those feelings he might be able to do justice to his responsibilities as a child care worker. But the child care workers will have the proper knowledge of treating a child and making him realize his real and hidden potentials. He will have a proper outlook towards a child's behavior and will make him to leave his bad habits and to adopt good habits. Childcare workers can shape better individuals. This type of outlook will be absent in parents. They might love their child but they may be unaware of the manner in which they have to treat their children so that they become a better individual. They may ignore the bad habits of their children and therefore they may not be able to shape a better individual or make their child a good human being.
