The study was conducted through a systematic review observations in the participating schools classrooms and the incorporated views from both teachers and students involved in the study. The study gains dependability and reliability in the fact that it involved multiple methods of collecting data as opposed to relying on only one method of data collection. The study did face its fair share of stumbling blocks as is to be expected with any study involving respondents who have not been coached.

A number of issues came out concerning the students themselves and also community life in general since the study was conducted on a special type of community. Once students left home and entered the schools they ideally stepped into a different community. This community has prescribed ways of doing things and a different order altogether. The social setting is also somewhat different as influences are totally different from those they would face outside of the school settings. It is unavoidable however for students to bring in some tendencies picked up outside the school community making for a very diverse pool.

One thing that emerged is that there was a certain tension when it came to matters pertaining to issue selection. Students who interacted more often by virtue of being in the same semester tended to identify with largely similar issues. Students across different semesters seemed to have varying opinions and reactions to similar stimuli. This is true with any given community people who spend much together will usually have shared opinions as a result of spending a lot of time together. Such people will usually react in a similar way even when they are not together since certain tendencies rub off.
