Create a 2 pages page paper that discusses teaching statement for a faculty position in science, research and technology. Teaching ment Learning and incorporating new ideas in the field of science, research and technology has been my passion which has been aired bymy enthusiasm to transfer them to the younger generation. I believe that a researcher needs to come up with innovative techniques and strategies to excel and make the research process more practical and interesting. I have been working in the lab and research for seven years. To satisfy my eagerness to learn more, I have been attending conferences, meetings and workshops in many countries. I believe that knowledge should be made practical by implementing it with non-conventional ideas so that the learners not only find the subject practical but fascinating. I believe that every one of us has his own unique style of learning new things and hence researchers need to understand different learning styles in order to improve learning, especially student learning. Learning style preferences are apt to change over time and unconscious learning styles can be made conscious ones with little effort. This will result in better results shown by the students. They should be given the choice to choose their own learning style preferences so that they are able to diversify their experiences and bring modifications in their learning styles. I will tend to each student under my supervision separately and will try to figure out which learning style (audio, visual, kinesthetic) he is most comfortable with, and will then make available to him such resources that will be most suitable for him according to his learning preferences. This will not only bring out from him innovative ideas but also give a boost to the field of science, research and technology. I also believe in practical work rather than getting the students memorize theories and take a 3 hour exam. I will incorporate more field work and will assess the young researchers’ performance practically. This needs more hard work on the teachers’ part but is eventually beneficial to both the students and to the research field. I will arrange for the latest technological tools to make the students avail the most modern ICT (Information and Communication Technology) environment so that peer-to-peer distant communication is made possible to facilitate the research. Inculcation of the ICT will add to the reputation of the university on the whole because it is the upcoming technology, and has great benefits if incorporated in the field of research. I will also motivate my students through seminars to attend national and international conferences so that they are able to gain more knowledge and bring good name to the university. I will arrange special training sessions to help my students learn how to write a research paper according to international standards and get them published in journals and conference proceedings without going through related obstacles. I have been able to put in black and white some of the innovative ideas that I have in my mind. I am interested in learning more inventive and modern teaching techniques through training sessions, World Wide Web, and technological tools. In short, it is my passion for research that has compelled me to apply in the faculty of science, research and technology.
