The book written by Walter J Nicholls takes the reader from the year 2001 to 2012 reviewing the various actions taken by the DREAMers in quest for justice and fair treatment. There existed various undocumented decisions made by various youth immigrants as they struggled to gain political recognition and even vie for other positions in the government and civil service. The earlier years of the struggle comprised of pushing and forcing of the DREAM Act for enacting. The undocumented youths in the United States of America continue to play a vital role in the organization of means and methods to challenge the unjust treatments and immigration policies that infringe the freedom and rights of the immigrants (Nicholls 30). The book therefore bases its argument from the great wrangles and debacle that existed between the White House and the House of Congress.

The senate had endorsed the immigration reform bill during the month of June. The enacting of the bill into one of the laws of the United States of America therefor lied in the hands of the senate. It was therefore the responsibility of the DREAMers to advocate for the adoption of the bill by the senate.
