I'm slightly confused on the difference between leptokurtic and platykurtic. When i look at histograms graphs that look leptokurtic end up being platykurtic based on the the descriptive statistics.
so how do i describe this? Do i put it looks leptokurtic and then contradict that in the descriptive statistics description? Or can i describe the bell curve lacking tails, which means more data falls under the bell making it more platykurtic? That makes in coincide with the statistical data.
