Preview the PowerPoint Presentation for each chapter.  Answer the Textbook Response questions located on the last slide of the presentation.  Be sure to type each question, use Arial or Times New Roman font (11-12 pt.), and double-space your assignment.  

• Read Chapter 4, “Safeguarding Diversity and Equity.”
  • Preview the PowerPoint Presentation that accompanies this chapter and is included in this week’s module.
  • Complete the following textbook response from Case Study 4.1 “Promises Kept or Opportunities Lost:  A Wicked Problem in Educational Leadership”  (pp. 83-88):
    1. Is equity jeopardized in Mr. Reed’s decision not to allow Gabe and the female student in the incentive offered to their peers? Is this fairness?
    2. What could have Mr. James done immediately to show support for Mr. George? For Mr. Reed?
    3. How would you handle Mr. Reed if it were determined after further investigation that he is biased against students of color and female students?
