For heat transfer, there are two major ways which are conduction and convection, for the former it implies the direct contact with the object with heat and for the latter it implies the transfer of heat energy via a certain medium. however, if the heat energy is present in the air, are we considered to have the heat transferred via conduction or convection? we are in fact contacting that heat energy directly, but we are actually also having the heat transferred using air as a medium. so, what should that kind of heat transferred be defined?
