Among his accomplishments is the writing of the Declaration of American Independence and the founding of the University of Virginia.
Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States, was skilled in many different areas and he was extremely well educated. He was an, in fact, an architect, an author, an inventor, an archeologist, a lawyer, and a paleontologist. He was also a statesman and a horticulturist.
