One of the most conspicuous consequences of the images presented of the African Americans was that there rights were trampled upon and they were abused. Some said the Africans were hardcore and therefore could not bleed or get tired. This perception saw them over indulged as labor and in some cases engaged in extreme sports such as wrestling since they were tough.
They were denied foods and other basic rights simply because they were seen as beast that did not deserve the right to eat any meals.
