Hello please can the following question be answered using moments. I have failed this question twice now getting answers 817.5 and 613.125. Some guidance I have been given is

Moment of a Force = Force x Perpendicular Distance

Applying this we get:

Resistive Force x Distance from Hinge = Clasp Force x Distance from Hinge

Using the correct Resistive Force and correct distances on each side (be careful) we can determine the Clasp Force.
