I think this view is very rational because if one just believes on something because of his feelings or own reasons, it would go against the process of establishing truth therefore the truth one believes is not an absolute truth.

I think there needs to be certain knowledge because man has the tendency to seek truth with very convincing evidences behind the truth. Certainty is one of the things that men probably cling to like the certainty of life after death, so that they can find meaning in things they do, in their existence.
