You'll have the opportunity to voice your thoughts during class discussion if you feel comfortable, and submit your written responses via Brightspace. Assignment Questions:
Morning Routine Reflection:
- Describe your routine for getting ready in the morning.
- Which aspects of this routine are governed by biology (e.g., sleeping, eating, hygiene)?
- Which aspects are influenced by culture (e.g., choice of clothing, grooming habits, timing)?
- What norms and values shape these practices?
Cultural Appropriation Reflection:
- Under what circumstances is it appropriate for a person in one culture to adopt elements from another culture (such as dress, food, or speech)?
- Do you consider this cultural appropriation? Why or why not?
How to Complete:
- Reflect and write thoughtful responses to both questions.
- Class Discussion: You’ll have a chance to share your ideas aloud if you feel comfortable—no pressure!
- Submit your written responses to Brightspace by the end of class.
- Submissions made by the end of class today will not incur any point deductions.
- Due date: March 20.
- After the due date, 5% will be deducted for each day the assignment is late.
- The assignment will close on March 23. No submissions accepted after this date.
