Watch first 3 videos of Microsoft Project Tutorial.

Write a 1-2 page paper.  In your paper answer the following questions:

Explain in detail what role the PMI plays and what are its requirements for membership.

• When and why was the PMI formed?
• What is the criteria for membership?
• What purpose does it play for the engineer and his future?
• Why become a member?
• What is the CAPM, and what is required for this?

Include a title page and 3-5 references.  Only one reference may be from the internet (not Wikipedia).  The other references must be from the Grantham University online library.  Please adhere to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), (6th ed., 2nd printing) when writing and submitting assignments and papers.

Introduction to Control Systems and Mathematical Models of Systems

1. Watch video “EE495 – Week 1 – Lecture”
2. Read Chapters 1-2 in the text Modern Control Systems, 12th Edition.
3. Work the following problems:
   1. The transfer function of a system is:  Y(s)/R(s) = 15(s+1)/(s2+9s+14).  Determine y(t) when r(t) is a unit step input.
   2. Consider the following system:
      • Find the closed-loop transfer function Y(s)/R(s) when G(s) = 10/(s2+2s+10)
      • Determine Y(s) when the input R(s) is a unit step.
      • Compute y(t).
4. Save work in a file with the title: “HW1_StudentID”, with your student id substituted in the file name.  Show all work for full credit.
5. Upload file “HW1_StudentID”

Introduction to Control Systems and Mathematical Models of Systems

1. Install MATLAB and read Appendix A – MATLAB Basics in the text Modern Control Systems, 12th Edition.
2. Use MATLAB to perform the following:
   1. Plot y(t) for homework problem (i)
   2. Determine Y(s) and plot y(t) for homework problem (ii)
3. Include all MATLAB code and screenshots in a Word entitled “Lab1_StudentID”.
4. Upload file “Lab1_StudentID”
