How do elements and compounds differ?
and are different:
Elements: Composed from the same atom or molecule. Every particle in an element has the same number of protons in the nucleus.
Compounds: Composed from two or more different types of atoms or molecules. Because of that, protons in the nucleus of that particular compound are different.
